​West Hollywood Pickleball Open Play Policy & Schedule Updates

 

We’re excited to welcome you to the best pickleball community in Los Angeles! Tennacity and the City of West Hollywood have listened to your feedback through focus groups, questionnaires, emails, and calls. To improve your playing experience, we are rolling out important updates to our Open Play program starting Wednesday, October 1st, 2025.

 

Attendance & Oversight

• A Tennacity staff member will be present at all Open Play sessions.

• Staff will:

• Take attendance

• Manage waitlisted players

• Provide oversight and keep sessions running smoothly

 

Late Cancellations & No-Shows

• Cancel at least 12 hours in advance via PlayByPoint for a refund.

• 3 Strikes Rule (within 30 days):

• 1st & 2nd Offense: Warning (email, push notification, or text)

• 3rd Offense:

• Removal from all current and future Open Play registrations

• 30-day suspension from booking

• Each offense drops off after 30 days.

 

Check-In & Sticker System

• All players must check in within 15 minutes of the start time.

• A colored sticker will be required to play.

• Players without a sticker will not be allowed on court.

• After 15 minutes:

• Spots may be released to waitlisted players

• Waitlist players may show up, but entry is not guaranteed

• Arrive early to maximize your playtime.

 

Open Play Schedule Updates

 

Tuesday Morning – Beginner / Rising Intermediate (Plummer Park)

• Added Paddle Tennis Court into the rotation

• Create a welcoming environment for new players

• No skipping paddles or moving them in line

 

Thursday Morning – Advanced (Plummer Park)

• All 4 courts will be challenge courts

• Winners may stay on for 2 games maximum before rotating off

• Ensures competitive play while keeping matches moving

 

Updated Pricing (Effective October 1st)

• West Hollywood Residents: $5

• Senior Residents 55+: $3.50

• Non-Residents: $7

• Proof of residency required (bring to the office so it can be noted in the system).
